Construction began in earnest on Ridges Basin Reservoir in October 2002. This Bureau of Reclamation project near Durango is expected to be completed by 2010. The Authority, through an agreement with the Animas-La Plata Water Conservancy District, has contributed $7.25 million towards construction in exchange for 2,600 acre-feet of depletion. |
