WaterSMART Grants: Water and Energy Efficiency Grants for Fiscal Year 2019

The Bureau of Reclamation is making funding available through its WaterSMART Program for water and energy efficiency grants for fiscal year 2019. These grants will be awarded to projects that will result in quantifiable and sustained water savings and support broader water reliability benefits. Approximately $24 million will be available through this funding opportunity.

Funding is provided in two groups. Funding Group I projects receive up to $300,000 and can be completed within two years. Funding Group II projects may receive up to $1.5 million for a phased project up to three years. Applicants must provide at least a 50 percent cost-share.

States, Tribes, irrigation districts, water districts and other organizations with water or power delivery authority located in the western United States or United States Territories are eligible to apply for this funding opportunity.
